Hey Alex, great post. I like the analogy that VC’s are like investigate journalists. I wrote something similar a few ago, but instead saying that early stage founders should think like investigate journalists.

tl;dr — early stage founders are looking for an idea that is non consensus & right. By nature, investigate journalism has a similar mission. Anyway, post is below if curious :)
