I’ve often faced the challenge of moving between sectors and trying to explain to people, that despite the different labels applied to things we do in business, non profits and government that much of it is fundamentally the same. That they are each, in their own right, organizations made up of people in pursuit of a common mission or objective — whether profit or social impact. While the incentives and intentions may differe within the different context, learning within one can often be applied across the others. This is another case where this is the point. Fundamentally, an interaction has a relational and transactional component and you are exactly right in looking at efficiencies and trust that can be brought to government from these technological advancements. That is in fact much of my focus every day.
