It is in our bones to move west. Perhaps we are moving relentlessly towards the setting sun, trying to prolong the day and, hence, increase the value of each day we are granted on this earth.

Or perhaps it has something to do with the way the earth spins so as we travel west our destination spins towards us, shortening our journey.
