I think you proved one of my points while completely missing my other argument about how voice computing may become normalized (over time) thanks to the populism (lustworthiness, not affordability) of the AirPods.

You can keep your inexpensive, wired headphones. I don’t have a problem with or care about them. They have nothing to do with Siri or ambient computing. You and I are talking about vastly different things. It’s all good.
