Well, it’s a matter of emphasis, isn’t it? For me, IoT conjures up a web of connected devices that are all chattering amongst themselves and are occasionally interrupted by a human. A “field of computing” seems more like a magnetic field or environment that has certain technologically imbued attributes… it’s more about putting the humans at the center of the context, rather than the things around them that they might interact with. 😁
