I really enjoy your thoughts, I love feeling connected to a greater community of writers that are all in the same boat. Like you said, you struggle with starting something, so others probably do too. And you are absolutely right.

I have the same problem writing my fiction. I can’t start a chapter. I will skip it sometimes, then write the scene that I’ve been playing in my head all day, then go back to the start.

I love what you say about true statements that help get you going, even if they aren’t what you ultimately go with. Sometimes we just need a little push to start, and the glory of the first draft reveals itself when you can just go back and wrangle in the creative stretching you did before you started running with it.
