Gigiri by evening…

if your eyes borrow mine like that we might not live to tell, if we bother,
or remember,
because a life lived in love leaves little reason for speech,
but a lot of it for the remembrance of the embrace that laced the fragrance of humility in the purity of love,
unconditional.
the one woman i truly loved always found reason for a dress,
and i always found reasons to address her beauty in the midst of all my friends,
be it in a hotel,
or a VCT
visiting,
the point of love is sub-atomic,
that’s why we laugh with stars in nights of fright and lost fights,
we never came undone…
and when we kissed away the pain in the rain,
it wasn’t about fun…
but God’s will being done…
at 9:00 p.m, Gigiri,
with the streets-lit, love can never be discrete.
