Uranus will look spectacular tonight…and this weekend!

Alright, bring your bad puns. Uranus has already heard of those cheeky comments. The seventh planet from the sun will not be the butt of the jokes the next few nights.

If you fancy doing a bit of planet spotting, Uranus will be particularly visible because the giant green planet is reaching its point of opposition — when it is directly opposite the sun. It’s likely to be so bright that you can see it with the naked eye.

With binoculars or a telescope, you should more easily be able to spot it near the constellation of Pisces in the southeast sky.

Clouds should not hinder our views. Okay, I’m done!
