At peak blog back in 2005ish I had 50,000 readers monthly and was making “part-time job at McDonalds” money from the ad income from my blog. I’m more like 2000 readers a month these days, and just as happy with it. I think the most successful bloggers blog for themselves first. Readership is a bonus.
