Reducing CSS bundle size 70% by cutting the class names and using scope isolation
Gajus Kuizinas

It’s great to reduce file size but I quite like descriptive class names when building something from scratch — but maybe that’s because I’ve built a lot of large sites down the years which are implemented into CMS systems. Customers sometime even insist on descriptive class names/ids so that they can inspect and make changes themselves. If you want a superfast SPA which you have total control of, then I think it’s a smart idea. I’ll give it a try on a smaller project of my own otherwise I know there will be complaints (even if Google do it)!
