I agree with this but there will be dozens of detractors. Most transport related articles these days are arguing up autonomous vehicles as the inevitable core of future transport planning and urban design. There’s a huge lust for that idea. Public transit has a hard call because it is not seen to be sexy. More so, we in the West have become so individualized that the idea of doing anything communally is looked down upon. Getting married to the car in the 1950s was like going ‘off grid’ today. We are too used to going solo.
