Great point about trains still not being fully automated. Even local transit systems still have operators. The exception would be airport gate trains which run on a fixed track and usually in a single direction. And let’s not drag the aircraft autopilot into this debate. Planes can fly and land without pilot intervention but what traveler would want to be the first airline ‘drone’ passenger. So eager we seem to be for human obsolescence. It would be achievable except for the pesky need to eat which means money and thus greed. What the heck, soylent green WILL be people.
