My guest this afternoon was one of the most powerful women in finance: Marisa Drew, CEO Impact Advisory and Finance at Credit Suisse. During her 30 year career in investment banking, Marisa has been a constant champion of gender parity in the industry, encouraging women to believe in themselves and their abilities and to never settle.
Marisa and I last spoke in Davos where she joined me for a panel discussion on reimagining money. One of her key points then was the need to start to put a tangible value on natural assets as a way to promote climate change driven financing. Today, we spoke about the promise of sustainable finance, the current state of the finance industry, and of course the impact of COVID-19 and the Black Lives Matter movement on the world we live in. I’m sure you’ll find her as fascinating as I did. Enjoy!
We’re off next week for the fourth — happy independence day everyone! — But we’re back on July 9th with Marten Mickos, CEO of HackerOne (RSVP here.) See you then!
