The following is a poem I wrote for my first grade students:

Pigeons on the Roof

Pigeons on the roof

Looking down the yard

Wondering why the kids guard

A ball and goof

Pigeons on the roof

Cooing around the school

Asking for proof

That studying is cool

Pigeons on the roof

Flapping their wings

Flying down aloof

Believing they are kings

When you approach that time in your life where you start thinking that everything will be downhill from now, you stop and start shaking things up a bit because you don’t want it to be downhill yet. Come on, you are about to turn a significant age, and yet, you don’t want to give up! Hello! You don’t have to give up! You need to reinvent yourself.

The first agreement teaches you to be impeccable with your word. What does this mean? Avoid saying negative things that will come back and hurt you even more…

All of a sudden, I woke up and decided that I really needed to take responsibility for the changes I want to see in my life. I started and developed my new blog, and decided that I will pass along some of the beautiful things that I have coming my way, even if some them are still part of my dreams and have not come true yet.

I had to do a few adjustments to my mindset. First of all, I had to generate more positive thoughts, as simple as, the morning walk to the bus stop is pleasant. A…
