Shifting to the Witness/Observer

The times of this world are transitional and so the experiencing of this world is transient. The presence of Life’s spirit however is eternal as that is a consequence of consciousness itSelf. The commonality of human beings who incarnate on this planet is the intrinsic witnesser, which is an infinite quality of pure presence that is essential in allowing the observation of the extrinsic attributes of worldly life. There is no ‘personal’ choice about witnessing.

To speak of humans for example, no person chooses to witness or observe life — it is a quality that is intrinsic to the human condition. That quality is neutral or impartial to mind activity due to it’s independence of it. We can observe that in babies or children who are clearly born into the conscious condition of witnessing but haven’t been socially programmed into thinking a certain way about things yet. It is only upon witnessing then that the [ego] personality can be constructed and imposed through cognitive function.

This is a valuable distinction for those who are confused as to ‘where’ they should place their attention when intending to embody the authentic Self; it is the unconditional witness. As that, there is nothing to say about anything as it is most allowing in it’s way and it aligns with the energetic symmetry of life’s universal power or source. Aligning with source is what shifts one’s energy into a inner-psychic posture of yin whereby life’s truth must reveal itself. The quickest way to transcend the ego’s insistence in day to day life is to intend to constantly notice the intrinsic Self that is purely witnessing, before or beyond all thinkingness and feelingness of perception, and to surrender all else that arises from the mind.

This practice of ‘noticing’ that which is naturally unconditional in oneSelf becomes less of a conscious effort as the intention to realize enlightenment of True Self intensifies. It is a consistent notion among many of the great spiritual teachings that within spiritual work one is responsible for the intention and not the result. This encourages one to focus on that which is most authentic to life — the spirit — and not focus on outer attributes that reinforce the idea of a separate self. Spiritual work is yin — process is made by surrender, allowing, and non-action. It is the authenticity of one’s intention alone that aligns one to the infinite power of — the spiritual will — an attractor field beyond their own level of consciousness. Thus, the pathway of enlightenment is to surrender one’s personal will so that the spiritual will may uplift them along the journey.

Without the surrendering of one’s personal will enlightened states of beingness and beyond can be said to be impossible.
