Thanks for the response! Yeah, its all trade offs. Web dev is getting more complicated with all those tradeoffs.

I am still sticking with JS for company’s work, because I’m getting paid to set up build scripts even though it will consume a day’s work (or more). But for personal projects, I’m just gonna use Elm, and consider it my one stop solution for JS. Let the Elm community deal with JS.
