I love this. I think the only reason people call it a crisis when an adult around the age of 40–50 decides to do something new or different is because it goes against their expectations. Some people can’t handle it when you do the unexpected. They assume that there must be something wrong with you, because why would you suddenly deviate from the norm? “You should know better, you’re a grown up!” So they project the negativity onto you and call it a crisis.

It’s not a crisis, it’s growth. It’s continued learning, new experiences. And just because we’re adults doesn’t mean we know everything. It’s ok to try to new things. Or to rediscover things we forgot we used to enjoy, back before life got busy and we got distracted.
