Kanye Has a Point

Awesome analysis — I was just thinking of this earlier today.

Like you said, everyone is so critical of Ye that they simply brush off what he has to say. Yeah, I understand why a lot of people hate him. He even admitted that his ego is his greatest enemy. But not being taken seriously must be really frustrating, and it really shows in his tweets. He might be going crazy, but which great artists are perfectly sane their whole lives? As Ralph Waldo Emerson once stated, “To be great is to be misunderstood.”

Ye’s tweets are a stream of consciousness with their own flaws — flaws that he’s not afraid to put out there. At the end of the day, Ye is still a human being with his own issues — whether or not he is rich shouldn’t trivialize that. And he’s just trying to achieve his dreams. I would say they’re no more unrealistic than a politician’s agenda nowadays. We all have our visions and they might get shit on, but it doesn’t stop us from pursuing them.
