The concept of the show is to link in with the 2014 Winter Olympics, the show is filmed in a variety of locations around Austria. The celebrities have to participate in some of the most thrilling winter Olympic events — which include the ski–jump, Skeleton, Giant Slalom, 2 man bob-sleigh, speed skating, speed skiing and technical slalom.

The show starts out with 12 competitors, with one of the celebrity competitors being eliminated each day. The show is pre-recorded daily. Each day the contestants take part in one of the events, the two celebrities who incurred the slowest time that day — will face each other in the elimination; the elimination would consist of the celebrities undertaking the ski jump, they will choose out of the three jumps they would like to attempt. The celebrity who jumps the shortest or withdraws from the elimination jump — is eliminated from the competition.
The celebrities are trained Olympic skier Graham Bell and Olympic Gold medallist Amy Williams. The ski jump is demonstrated by Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards.
In the first episode, it was the men who competed first, the event they had to participate in was the Giant Slalom — the leader-board was determined on the time it took to do the event, the first male celebrity to be eliminated was Nicky Clarke OBE following the live ski jump. The first female celebrity to be eliminated was Amy Childs, who came 5th in the second episode in which the female celebrities had to participate in the Skeleton; she was eliminated as she failed to participate in the live ski jump.

The finalists had to compete in the Ski Cross — in which they had to perform two races, and the results combined, Marcus Brigstocke withdrew from the competition, which led to Joe McElderry and Donal Maclntyre performing the live Ski Jump from the K24 Slope to win the competition, Joe McElderry was crowned champion of “The Jump”.
There has been mixed reviews regarding the show, some articles mention the celebrities as c-class, the whole concept of the show was turned down initially by ITV who deemed the show as too dangerous. The show was built up saying that celebrities would be risking live and limb on the show, but in turn it didn’t, ultimately the show was described as disappointing. Viewing figures also reflected on the show — with the viewer’s decreasing every night — the final was watched by 1.89million people.
