I love checking out different side hustle ideas.

But I’ve noticed something with a lot of the ones I come across.

They’re too hard!

Or, even worse, they take up too much time.

A side hustle is supposed to be something you can do part-time on the side. It’s not supposed to be a full-time job (unless you turn it into that later).

Here are 7 side hustles I’ve come across recently, and why I don’t like them.

1. Retail arbitrage through Amazon.

My son does this, and he loves it, but he’s an 18-year-old kid with time and energy at his disposal. (Plus parents who support him!) I have seen what this business takes to get off the ground (which is still a work in progress), and it’s not easy. There are a lot of upfront costs to get the inventory and tools you need, and it’s a lot of work to get everything shipped out on time.
