Ask and You Will Find

Schrodinger’s cat has never been so true these days — we are so quick to assume the fate of the future without even testing the waters to find the reality. I do it so many times: I desire to ask something of someone but never do because i’m afraid? shy? too late? what if i just asked them… then i would have known their answer, the reality and the truth (well, hopefully)

“by not asking, you are saying no for them”

You would think asking someone to coffee is a simple act of think and say. Dear friend, I wish it could be easy like that but as im sure you know, our thoughts get carried away with ‘what ifs’ — what if they say no, what if they actually don’t like me, what if I am not worthy of their time, what if i embarrass my self, what if, what if…

Just like Schrodinger’s cat though, you have to open the box to find the reality and actually the reality can be bitter sweet. Sometimes the simplest of questions can lead to the greatest adventures, connections and a life blessed with wonder. Taking the leap of faith and opening that box will not always be pretty, but a life filled with joyful experiences merely from a question will out weigh the losses of every other time if you let it.

So let it. Ask those questions. Take that risk. Be humble and strong with the answers you do not like. Be joyous and proud with the answers that lead to more than words can say.
