A Birthday Drabble

Birthday Definition: The anniversary of the day on which a person was born, typically treated as an occasion for celebration and the giving of gifts.

Everyone’s birthday is special in our family, each celebrated well. Reminiscing the year just gone, hopeful plans for the year to come.

Today is our daughter’s birthday, we have given her gifts. She is ours.

A traumatic carrying, a dramatic birth, two deaths imminent and averted. A love and a bond forged long before we met. We understand what it is to never give up on those we love, whatever the odds.
