I chose to study Sciences even though I loved the Arts. I chose to go for a Biochemistry major even when I felt my heart was elsewhere. It took me years to get back on track. I still feel it will take a decade before I get close to course correcting.

I studied engineering, hated it (the academic aspect of it) and dropped out and rushed to finish a math degree (since I wasn’t allowed to switch to English or Journalism — which I would’ve done well in). All because of hyper vigilance and fear-inducing scarcity mindset followed by a ton of guilt. I know how this feels for all creatives who are trapped in their circumstances.
