Monstrous Births

Very well said. I had two fairly quick and ‘hands-off’ labours, without pain management apart from laughing gas. And I’m the first person to support my friends who had c-sections. Any birth that gets mom and baby back out the door healthy and on the road to recovery is the way to go. I don’t feel proud of my births — I feel lucky. I know it was luck that brought my kids into the world safely, not some sort of zen achievement that equaled success for me and failure for a mom who had life-saving surgery.
