So, my name is Christine, and I am addicted to books.

I used to be a Barnes and Noble addict, but now I go there only at Christmastime when I am buying gifts.

I tend to spend hours in libraries with their magazines (lovely foreign ones about travel and crafting) & scores of books, and I’m only occasionally putting money out (for fines — yeah, still not as much as my B&N habit).

I have to admit, I do usually read a book to the end, even when it sucks. I had a book that I struggled to finish — I kept reading because I kept hoping the story would get better. It didn’t. And worse? I read the 4th book in the series with the same result. And yes, I finished it. Ugh. But then I rewarded myself with a book that I had on my shelf that I had previously purchased that was waiting its turn, and it was fabulous.

I am working through my backstock of books to read — I’ve got a few that I purchased from B&N that are queued up on my shelf. And, believe it or not, I did actually cull through my books and pulled out a mess of them that are going to be finding a new home soon.

I’m lucky to have a job now where I actually get a lunch break — I usually spend it reading, which is quite lovely as well.
