Salvation

People always talk about living the ideal, perfect life; however, we all struggle with this notion. With these hardships of everyday life, we develop addictions, becoming dependent to alcohol, pornography, gambling, gluttony, etc. , which leads to the bondage of despair. We become ashamed and don’t talk to others about our problems, hiding the imperfections we so think are uniquely ours, but society so shares the burden of “humanity”. With no support group, we give up on ourselves, letting go of dreams, love, and ambition. We have no way out.

This is where God fights to step into our lives, knocking at our hearts and whispering the message of hope in our hears. You may ask, “What hope does God give?” We all have contemplated this question throughout our lives, christian and non-Christian alike. Some will state scripture, Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes,” drawing attention on the words power and salvation. Freedom and power cannot be found in this world or in our will-power, the most probable explanation is that the source of these lie in the supernatural, God. Jesus main goal was to “proclaim liberty to the captives” and give us the power unto salvation, from our current state of bondage to sin to our everlasting standing in eternity.

God wants us to spend eternity in heaven, live a freedom filled life, and love others to show the world that He is fighting to change their lives. May this be our mission for today! Much Love.
