Sending the Mexican Army to Fight a Drug War Has Been a Disaster
War Is Boring

Wasn’t there evidence that the military Generals in western Mexico were trying to take over the drug trade, replacing the cartel? Or was that a movie? In any case, failure confirms an old Latin adage: Quis custodiet ipsos cusdodes? Who is watching the watchers? Politicians are on the ‘take’ as are the military and police sent to ‘repress’ the cartels. No wonder nothing happens, except the body count. Measures are deliberately ineffective. Mexico is a narco-state supported by the US drug habit. Trump wants to end that trade and will be actively opposed by all the profiteers. Anti wall = pro drugs.
