What’s Stopping Business Leaders From Realizing Unfathomable Growth?

Business leaders, now more than ever, are faced with the unrelenting responsibility of generating revenue, increasing profits, lowering costs and managing a workforce in a self-created community. Strict schedules & critical deadlines put great emphasis on alliance resource partners to provide “turn-key” value (i.e. — value I can implement today) to their organizations through partnership.
“So,…what’s stopping business leaders from realizing unfathomable growth through alliance partnerships?”
CHALLENGE #1: Time & Money are critical resources in every organization. This fact forces executive leadership to constantly evaluate a carousel of alliance resource partners; an action, that if not done with swift precision, can cost both time & money. The task: Perform a critical sort of resource partners who provide more than a solution,…more than a product,…more than information.
CHALLENGE #2: People are the double-edged sword necessary for growth & success. We live in a Human Capital Economy — Trust is a key component to maximizing how people can add the “intangible” human connection that technology can sometimes fall short on. The task: Align with trusted partners who can provide resources that build alliances for the future success of the organization. Even large corporations tap their “professional networks” for alliance partners — but even if you know someone, that knows someone that does great work — time is an investment that even large organizations take into consideration.
CHALLENGE #3: The rise of professional networking sites like LinkedIn — professional action sites like MeetUp & Eventbrite, and professional platforms like USA 500 & ProVisors add untold value to the business eco-system. The task: Is it worth the time & effort to manage these interactions — if you’re inclined to trust the “Social Selling” that’s taking place across most social business platforms right now. Trust is something earned with time, and it gets more & more scarce as you find yourself operating at higher levels of business.
Simply put, business leaders are constantly asking the question:
Is the juice worth the squeeze?

Is there a way to truly cut to the chase and access trusted alliance partners who understand & respect the time needed to develop meaningful relationships that foster actual value?
The consultant in me, sits back and asks, “What’s the 1 common denominator in this situation”,…while the entrepreneur in me says, “Spit out the f&#*ng answer would you”.
Well, I believe the answer is in People. Technology enables all of us to be super-responsive, hyper-connected AND completely detached from the human connection factor that affects Trust. The speed at which business communication & interaction travels on a daily basis is enough to send any business leader into panic — When that happens, it’s time to tap into our inner “Bruce Lee mentality”.

Absorb what is useful, discard what is useless and add what is uniquely your own.
-Bruce Lee
If we follow the wise words of Bruce Lee — it’s imperative that as things around us move with more speed, we slow our thoughts, focus on our initiatives & pull out the information we need to reconnect with what is uniquely ours in the world of business.
“ Great — So how does this help me [as a business leader ] realize unfathomable growth? “
The Point -
Technology will continue to streamline, accelerate & simplify our business interactions at an incredible rate with increased efficiency — BUT will technology be the attribution point to which we look back & recount the signing of a blockbuster sales deal, or how we finally partnered with a “star” brand ambassador, or better yet, how we met the business partner that fostered our billion dollar IPO?
My answer is definitive — No.
No one ever, in the history of anything has ever said,…
“You know, I’m glad that Instagram was able to connect us — who knows if I ever would’ve come on as your Brand X ambassador if it hadn’t — we owe this to Instagram!”
Technology is a critical piece of analyzing data, creating processes, discovering new frontiers & enabling communication throughout the world — business & personal. What I’m focusing on — as our technological infrastructure grows exponentially around us — is the People part of the equation. The part of the equation that’s attributed to the “Why” behind the signing of a blockbuster sales deal, star brand ambassadorship & billion dollar IPO. I’m focused on the way we can exponentially grow the human connectivity infrastructure to build the trust necessary to promote timely introductions, that lead to partnerships,… that define the very existence of business.
How do we ensure that our human connectivity infrastructure & our technological connectivity infrastructure meet at a common ground?

Leveraging the Power of People -
I believe that humans, as one of the highest functioning species on planet earth, are capable of achieving truly great things. Putting a man on the moon — Ending Segregation — Building the Internet, all examples of truly great things we’ve achieved as a race. There is a caveat to this: True greatness, innovation and indelible achievements can only be realized through Human Connectivity.

When JFK was meeting with some of NASA’s top officials prior to launching the APOLLO lunar mission, he recounted a meeting with a janitor at NASA.
During his tour through the NASA facility, JFK had a chance encounter with a NASA janitor in the hall. The President asked the man what he did for NASA — the man replied, “I’m part of a team putting a man on the moon Mr. President.” It’s that kind of Human Connectivity that propelled people to a truly great achievement in our history.
Every team, every organization, every business is made up of people — a very valuable & very finite resource. If you’re the type of person who believes that people are the core of great achievements — are the driving force behind innovation and the cause of indelible advancements in every aspect of life — you’re not the only one.
