Except your statement is not true. The NRA has been willing to allow numerous firearm laws to be put into place. What they have been unwilling to allow is more “Make this class of firearms illegal even though VERY few of them are used in crimes in the real world!” and more “Put roadblocks in the way of law-abiding citizens right to own firearms that they have to hurdle every single time they wish to buy a firearm!”

The truth is that 99.9%+ of firearms today are never used in a crime nor linked to a crime straight from the FBI, DoJ, and NIH.

When that is the case? The fact is that we do not need anymore anti-firearm laws in the real world.

What do we need to stop school shootings? Seers!

No, that was not meant to be snark, it was meant to be a statement of fact. Because the only way to stop a person who is intent on killing other people when those people are no danger to them? Lock them up or put them six feet under!
