Lose the deal on purpose

As business people sometimes, it’s better to walk away from the deal. Some of those reasons could be:

When your reputation as a professional could be significantly tarnished.

Or when your ethics or moral values are being tested to the limit.

Or when you stand to lose business for other teams in your organization.

Or when you can’t deliver the goods after the sale is complete.

Or when the client relationship has lost so much goodwill it’s impossible to repair.

Or when it doesn’t further your organisations goals in the long term.

Or when you must sacrifice your team’s morale to get the deal done.

Or when you risk a key team member leaving over the deal.

Or if doing the deal with this type of client changes the culture of the business.

Or …..
