America wants different not Trump

I’m not a Trump supporter by any stretch of the imagination. Not on account of his beliefs (I don’t listen long enough to know them) just his mannerisms. He carries himself like a clown and speaks before thinking of the ramifications of his words. Whether you agree with him or not one connot argue that he has a loose cannon for a tongue, which makes him great for TV but horrible for talking countries out of apocalyptic nuclear war.

But, perhaps this is what makes him so popular. Perhaps, America is sick of political dynasties deeply intertwined with clandestine corporate interests and all powerful political parties. Perhaps we’re sick of smiling talking heads with vague but uplifting promises of prosperity that fade from memory in a year or two.

Trump may very well be an idiot. But, he’s a transparent idiot because idiots have no choice but to be . there’s something to be said about a politician who can’t lie to the public albeit because he’s too stupid to do it convincingly (I give you his comments on white supremacist support as evidence to that point).

Also He’s outside of the sphere of influence that the powers that be have over our political system. Both parties despise the man and big money supporters want nothing to do with his lunacy. But, they can’t make him go away.He’s too popular to make disappear at this point.

So, I would never call a trump supporter stupid, racist, or any other derogatory term. Not, right off the bat at least. No, I would just call them desperate. Desperate for a politician that isn’t dishonest or in someone’s pocket. And that, I think we can all agree, is something we all want
