Since when does what something was “written” for matter? Can’t things evolve and take on meaning. Is there anyone out there who sings “Land of the free” and thinks to themselves yeah free white people not those other people?

That said, the change from sitting to Kneeling and the thoughtful way Colin changed his protest really struck me. I still see a disconnect between his actions and what he’s protesting, but I can appreciate the spirit in which his protest is aimed. Maybe there really isn’t a better way to do it?
