Thank you so much for writing this. I’ve been in one or two interviews where I’ve been expected to recite things I learnt in A&DS at university and haven’t used in the ten years since. I just don’t do it anymore. It’s not worth my time or effort and there is plenty of work out there for good developers who don’t particularly fancy revising stuff they never use in the workplace.
