A thought:

If all Democratic Party voters voted as consistently for their candidates as the GOP does, we’d probably get the same quality candidates as they do, or even worse.

I am profoundly thankful that we have some forms of quality control even yet in our system of governance, that the race to the bottom is not going quite at top speed.
