I am hoping that, if nothing else, this election has made a few people realize that our current system IS corrupt, and that there is no better time than now to actively support a movement toward third, fourth, fifth political parties. I see abundant commentary urging patience, citing the need to defeat Trump as a reason to save those protest votes for another time, but the iron is hot, as I see it. Also, regarding the corruption angle, I’ve had some lively debates lately regarding the blatant corruption in other countries, with most Americans incredulous that we could possibly have anything like that going on in our Democracy. There is some profound denial, and the hubris is astounding.
