Christy Singrey is a Medical Social Worker at Angels of Mercy Home Care. Singrey has maintained this role for more than a decade. Along the way, she has had the opportunity to assist hundreds of adult patients in acquiring resources available to them. A Social Worker who truly values compassion and kindness, Singrey always aims to go above and beyond in her assistance. Along with assisting adult patients with resource applications, Singrey also helps patients better understand their options. Educating adult patients on their options for increasing their independence and quality of life is a cornerstone of Singrey’s work.

Previous Experience

Christy Singrey has worked in the Social Work field for the entirety of her career. Her journey of a career began by participating in a four month practicum program with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware County. This experience proved formative to Singrey in her career, as it led to her pursuit of a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Social Work with a minor concentration in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University. She then took on her first role as an Inpatient Unit Social Worker at Otis R. Bowen Center for Human Services in 1989. Singrey worked nearly 22 years at Otis R. Bowen Center as a member of the team, before moving on to an Admissions Director role at Millers Merry Manor.

Volunteer & Community Work

Christy Singrey is a proud advocate for the advancement of research and development of a cure for Alzheimer’s. She is also a proud supporter of The Alzheimer’s Association and a member of both the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Her community outreach includes supporting Meals on Wheels, as well as efforts in crisis intervention and animal welfare.
