Converting Sketch to Photoshop
Let me start by saying that I’m a hardcore Sketch-evangelist. The issue of opening Sketch files with Photoshop came up because of a compatibility issue and some disjointed, international marketing teams without a necessary means for a necessary means for up-to-date software.
I google’d a conversion method/tool, but couldn’t find any useful resources, since it seems nonsensical to do this, so here’s what I’ve found works.

Step 1
Export the artboard as a PDF

Step 2
Open the PDF in Illustrator.

Notice if you hit cmd+Y, layers are still separated, vector shapes are editable and inside clipping masks and text is live. Paragraph text, however, will break into individual lines, so it’s important to format in Sketch first, or be prepared to replace it with a new text box.

Step 3
File > Export > Export As > Photoshop (psd), with the below settings:

Step 4
Open the .psd with Photoshop. Text is still live and editable, and so are vector shapes (inside clipping masks, of course).

That ought to do it! This method was tested with Adobe CC (2016) and Adobe Creative Suite 5.1 – both work.
