For years, Bulgarian politics has resembled a stagnant pool. A stale, murky, and dominated by the same familiar names. The current government comprised of the GERB-PP–DB-DPS coalition have promised transformation, prosperity, and accountability. Instead, they have delivered a system rigged for the few, destroyed trust in traditional institutions, and widespread public disillusionment with rampant corruption in public and private sector. While they trade attacks on television and in parliament, the Bulgarian people continue to suffer.

The main point is that Bulgaria, most importantly it’s people deserves better. And that future begins with Velichie.

GERB: Corruption Wearing a Suit

GERB, once seen as a driving force of pro-European intergeration, has transformed into a symbol of entrenched power and scandal. Despite its pro-Western rhetoric, GERB’s decade-long rule has been marked by allegations of large-scale corruption, monopolized power, and a decaying democratic process. Which has been proves due to it’s textbook corruption and vote rigging. The party has been known to conduct such acts. Institutional rot: Under GERB, the independence of the judiciary, media, and democratic strucutre has deteriorated. The system has remained untouchable and politically weaponized against populistic forces seeking reform in Bulgaria.

Economic stagnation for ordinary people: While urban elites grew rich, rural and working-class Bulgarians continued to scrape by due to the failing social services and the stealing from those same services which are meant to provide a chance for people to get back on their feet or to get by. But can’t due to Oligarchs and Bureaucrats using the funds to enrich themselves.

GERB’s promise of change has come at the cost of accountability and mistrust among the public as condition only get worse.

PP–DB: The Empty Hope of Technocracy

Not better, but still in the equation the PP–DB bloc, which campaigned on a platform of change and transparency. Yet in Government, they have mimicked the same elitism they vowed to dismantle. Their decision to form an uneasy coalition with GERB showed how comprised they were.

Reform in name only: Besides the campaign speeches, real reform remains yet to be seen due to the PP-DB bloc only serving their Left-Wing base and their Oligarchs who just put the title of “Liberal” to make themselves sound better then GERB.

Disconnect from everyday Bulgarians: PP–DB remains focused on the concerns of Sofia’s professional class, while ignoring the deepening regional disparities across the country. The rampant poverty and inflation continues to grow while the peasants continue to get by only by their pension that can barely help them survive let alone their family.

No alternative vision: The coalition has failed to provide a credible roadmap for national renewal. Instead, their technocratic, Liberal, and Progressive bloc that masks an absent political force.

Peevski: The Face of the Shadow State

No critique of Bulgaria’s corrupt establishment is complete without mentioning Delyan Peevski. A media tycoon, powerbroker, and now MP, Peevski embodies the fusion of political blackmail, economic monopoly, and behind-the-scenes manipulation that has plagued Bulgaria for decades.

Critics claim wealthy media mogul and parliament deputy Delyan Peevski wields huge influence on the government.

Oligarchic control: It’s no shock that Peevski is a oligarch and is the king of dominating vast sectors of media and business through proxy ownership and political deals. Which push for his ideas of a Oligarchic Liberal State controlled solely by him and his goons. Despite getting sanctioned by the U.S. Department of the Treasury under the Magnitsky act, Peevski still gets to govern and making decisions that affect the lives of millions of Bulgarians without getting any soft of accountability. This shows that the current government doesn’t hold their own accountability and does not respect the rule of law.

A symbol of the deep state: Despite public outcry and international sanctions, he continues to operate with impunity, protected by a network of loyalists in the judiciary and security services. This due to many reasons, the main one. Blackmail! which he is no stranger too, as he makes under-the-table deals with judges and prosecutors to let his crony friends out or light sentences.

Toxic influence: His presence in parliament is a clear signal that the establishment has no intention of reforming itself. Instead, it recycles figures like Peevski who serve as gatekeepers of the status quo. While allowing the harassment of every day citizens by his secret services, Peevski gets to sit in his cozy office in Sofia and watch as one after another a corrupt politician lines up to kiss his ring to avoid being persecuted by his mafia. Not only is it MP’s getting in line with Peevski, but so are mayors and local politician as well. Peevski consolidated power by leveraging state-appointed regional governors, control over municipal funding, and political pressure to trap mayors and local leaders away from Dogan’s DPS faction to his own. In many cases, loyalty shifted rapidly after strategic meetings or subtle threats.

Peevski is not an anomaly, he is the outcome of a system designed to protect itself at all costs and throw it’s people and reformers to the wolves.

The Real Challenges Bulgaria Faces

The Bulgarian people are tired of suffering and having the greedy politicians lecture them about worrying about every other country instead of their own. Bulgaria is facing a cross-roads moment in it’s time domestically.

Demographic collapse: Bulgaria is losing its population at an alarming rate.

  • Cultural invasion: Bulgarian identity and traditional values are being suppressed in favor of imported Globalistic Liberal ideologies. Which has been pushing for policies such as more control in Brussels rather than in Sofia and the EU’s Green New Scam which has pushed for wind turbines which in return hurt Bulgaria’s entrepreneurship.
  • A broken state: The institutions meant to protect citizens serve vested interests instead therefore organizations like the Mafia have been able to operate as their own secret force for the state to threaten citizens who want to challenge the corruption that is making them poorer and weaker.

None of the coalition parties have shown the courage or capacity to address these structural failures.

Velichie: Greatness!

Velichie is more than a political party, it is a national awakening. Created in patriotism, dignity, and strength, Velichie offers a new and unapologetic alternative to the failed politics of compromise and broken.

Mihaylov Speaks the Truth

Ivelin Mihaylov, the leader of Velichie, has not been afraid to call out the corrupt crooks. In public addresses, interviews, and rallies, he has boldly called out the entrenched corruption that spans across all traditional parties and politicians. Mihaylov has been unafraid to name names:

  • Delyan Peevski, a relic of oligarchic control, continues to pull strings from the shadows who blackmails and buys his way to power.
  • Kiril Petkov, Someone who has proven to be just another puppet of the same elite interests.
  • Boyko Borisov, the long-time architect of Bulgaria’s dysfunctional politics, represents a past we must finally leave behind.

Mihaylov has made it clear as ever. Corruption must be erased from the system inside or else it will eat us inside. It is a system, defended by those who profit from it and it must be dismantled and have drastic reform. His vision is one of national pride, integrity, and strength. Under his leadership, Velichie stands as a movement to cleanse Bulgarian politics from the rot that has consumed it.

What Velichie Stands For:

  • Judicial independence and anti-corruption: Real reform that targets the elite impunity. As Mihaylov has even rightly predicted that “ruption will destroy Bulgaria within a few years” which if there is not real reform, the corruption seen now will destroy Bulgaria.
  • Bulgarian-first economic policy: Prioritizing national industries, protecting local agriculture and reducing dependence on foreign companies.
  • Strong national identity: Promoting patriotic beliefs and safeguarding Bulgaria’s historical and cultural heritage. Such as the Historical Park that Mihaylov has invested and campaigned for.

  • Family support and demographic policy: New incentives for families, deporting illegals, and youth empowerment.
  • Energy sovereignty: Making smart, sovereign choices about Bulgaria’s energy future based on national interest to become energy independent.

The Time for Change Is Now

Bulgaria stands at a historic crossroads. Continuing under GERB and PP–DB means accepting decline. Choosing Velichie means choosing a future of dignity, strength, and national pride.

Bulgaria must not continue with the status-quo of the mainstream Uni-party that controls and dictates every aspect of life while draining it of it’s resources.

The era of betrayal must end.

The era of Velichie must begin.
