Hi Brianna-

You have once again written a piece the hits home for me, you are so right when people learn that I am a they wax nostalgic about the book they woulda coulda shoulda written. I agree with you about we were not meant to do the work we love, but the work we can do. Doing the job that we are fortunate to have been given is being of service and being of service to our fellow human being is what we are all called to do. I was a maid at four different properties in Las Vegas for a total of 17 years, I helped raise my two children to healthy adulthood, I maintained a home and everything that goes along with homeownership for many years being the sole breadwinner but I viewed my job as being of “service” in a Service Industry (Hospitality) and all the while I continued to do the thing that I love which is writing. Thank you for sharing yet another great piece that resonated with me.
