Chronicle’s XNL token has found a new home on the Aurora EVM (built by NEAR Protocol). Effective immediately users can utilise the official NEAR Rainbow Bridge to move assets between all three ERC-20, NEAR and Aurora blockchains.

Official Aurora XNL Contract Address: 0x7ca1c28663b76cfde424a9494555b94846205585

Official NEAR XNL Contract Address:

Chronicle’s community and XNL token holders can now enjoy lower-cost fees and faster transactions compared to both Ethereum and BSC networks.

Adding Aurora to Metamask

Users who don’t have Aurora EVM already set up in their Metamask can add it by using the following easy 3 steps:

  1. Navigate to the official Aurora website at https://aurora.dev/start
  2. Click “Add Network” under Aurora [Mainnet]
  3. Confirm inside Metamask — done!

Note: It is expected NEAR’s Rainbow Bridge will support BSC in the future. If you have XNL token on BSC and you want to move these tokens to Aurora you can do one of two things:

  1. Use Chainport.io to move the tokens out of BSC and back into ERC-20 before using the NEAR Rainbow Bridge, OR
  2. (Coming Soon) Use Gate.io exchange to move tokens from BSC to your exchange address and then withdraw direct to Aurora Chain.

Transferring XNL to Aurora EVM

  1. Go to the NEAR Rainbow Bridge and connect your wallets. The wallet address on Aurora will be the same as your Ethereum address.

2. Next you need to select the token you want to move across to Aurora.

3. By default the XNL icon won’t come up, so simply paste the ERC-20 contract address to find it manually: 0x06a00715e6f92210af9d7680b584931faf71a833

4. Once you’ve added XNL, move the desired tokens across by Approving and Confirming the transfer — DONE!

Next Steps

The move to Aurora was the primary prerequisite to being able to integrate XNL into the Chronicle platform for rewards and as a payment option for NFT purchases.

After the release of the highly-anticipated USDC Payments API with Circle, auctions, and the secondary marketplace (releasing Wednesday), Chronicle’s development will now focus on integration of XNL into its platform — adding longstanding utility and rewards for users.

Users can expect an announcement on DEX farming and rewards within the next 48–72 hours.
