“And it’s really hard to find evidence that Sanders’ voice was in any meaningful way squelched.” → I really question this claim. I would ask anyone to actually research how things went down for Bernie supporters and his campaign along the way. Come at it from the victims’ perspective. Take a step in the shoes of hundreds of people whose voices were SQUELCHED. Hillary began refusing debates because she saw she was losing popularity and votes in those states. The time the media could’ve taken from Trump and Hillary and shared with Bernie would have been MEANINGFUL. The voters in Arizona getting justice would have been MEANINGFUL. Why did they announce early, Hillary’s wins and nominations before she “earned” them? How would that not MEANINGFULLY hurt Bernie’s campaign? If Bernie could actually be MEANINGFULLY HEARD (and I would bet my life on this), he would win the nomination, and go on to win against Trump. Hillary is not a good compromise, she is not hope, and I have no reason to believe she has the integrity to revolutionize this country within 4 to 8 years. It’s easy to say that we need to all “play by the rules” and suck it up and let the winners win, it’s not that bad, etc. But it’s difficult to stand up for your right to vote for what you want, especially when the “winners” get to blame you for Trump… I beg people to put aside their pride, judgements, and ideologies and actually LISTEN to Bernie supporters, activists, and protesters. I promise it is compelling. And do the same for Hillary. Take a hard look on her actions and consequences around the world and in America. Forget Republican versus Democrat, and open your eyes to the long-term damage we’re allowing by compromising OUR democracy. Politicians and even political activists such as Bernie Sanders do not always know what’s right for the people. Let the people speak. This country made Trump and if we don’t turn things around, there’ll be another Trump in another 4–8 years with a more anger and divisiveness to feed on. The DNC people are entitled and take for granted the voice of the people in false perception that the are somehow more “feminist” or more “civil” to be voting for the first woman Hillary Clinton. I don’t think I have to explain how that’s a terrible insult to the people, and especially women.
Was the System Rigged for Hillary Clinton?
