How to make UX writing a thing in your org
andy healey

This is what trained technical writers do: Design the content experience, and UX/UI copy is as much a part of a product’s content experience as its help or manuals. The thing is, there is a HUGE overlap between the practices and skills of developing content experiences and developing user experiences.

As Joe Welinske puts it in his presentations on developing user assistance for small-screen devices: Sometimes you have space for just one word, and it is we technical writers who have the experience and knowledge to know what that one word should be.
