Google’s slow fade with librarians

The timing of Google’s slow fade with librarians aligns not-so-coincidentally with Google’s taking wood away from information productivity arrows like Google Notebook and Google Reader and putting that wood behind the arrows of Google Buzz and, when that didn’t work, Google Plus. In short, Google had Facebook envy. Which is odd (and unfortunate for long-time Google users) because Facebook doesn’t make information productivity tools, it makes time wasting tools. Hopefully Google’s return to the ALA Conference indicates that they’ve gotten over their Facebook obsession and returned to the land of information productivity.
