Selling my apartment and programming a back-end + new application is great content for a podcast. Easy to distribute and consume, as people can listen anytime, especially on the go. So we’ve started one!

In this podcast we have a beginning - we discuss our journey so far with EmpowerOwners, what we hope to accomplish. We also discuss my most recent experience selling a property at 21 Ludlow, Manhattan. The intricacies of the deal and what the process was like getting to the closing table.

I’ve been going through this process as an owner selling myself — many agents, all want the listing, not bringing buyers — why do agents/brokers hold these keys? It seems to be propaganda from the brokerage community that FSBO is a big no, no.

There must be a better way, something to help homeowners manage/market and sell their properties themselves!

Now I’ve got useful marketing content for the apartment, I want to try target marketing on LinkedIn and promoting a Facebook Marketplace post.

So glad Google Voice exists. I didn’t want the planet to have my personal phone number so I signed up for a free number and posted that on my Zillow listing. As soon as I had posted the listing, the phone calls flooded in.

I hate leaving my apartment. I bought this place nine years ago and I absolutely love the apartment and the neighborhood. But my mom is getting older and I’m making my slow journey out of New York to Philadelphia so I can be closer to her.
