Background checks aren’t required for gun show purchases in most states, including where I live — Texas — where we have big ol’ gun shows all the time. I went to them weekend after weekend while growing up here. 33 states do not restrict private, intrastate sales of used firearms between private individuals, whether at gun shows or elsewhere.
