Random Thoughts that Hunt me!

Social media platforms have had an amazing effect on learning different skill sets. It’s easy to navigate, build, grow, and follow an audience/community.

However, I’ve always had this question bug me a lot. As a growing User experience designer, to what extent will have only friends, networks, or connections that do the same thing pose a challenge?
Don’t get me wrong, it’s amazing having a community in your field of choice where one gets to learn, connect and get industry-standard information. But in an algorithm-based social space where “the more you like a particular type of experience, the more it gets served to you”, doesn’t one slowly miss out on other things the social space has to offer?.
