NFT Crates — Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to participate in this offer?

To purchase a crate you must use a wallet that has staked at least 1,000 CHMB in any of the 3 staking pools on or before March 14th. This could even be a total of 1,000 CHMB across multiple pools e.g. 500 in the 6 month pool and 500 in the 12 month pool. Note: The eligibility requirements were updated based on a community vote, read more here.

How do I buy an NFT Crate?

Starting on April 14th at approximately 9:00pm GMT+10, stakers will be able to purchase the NFT crates by clicking on the “Exclusive Staking Offer” banner on the staking page here.

Can I add extra CHMB to my wallet to buy more crates?

Yes, the only requirement is that the wallet has staked at least 1,000 CHMB in any of the 3 staking pools on or before March 14th. If you would like to purchase additional CHMB from the market so that you can buy more crates, you are welcome to do so.

When will the crates be minted?

Due to time constraints, the NFT crates will not be minted at the time of purchase. They will be minted after the sale has completed and will be sent to the Polygon version of the wallet address used in the crate sale. Keep an eye on our Twitter for updates on crate minting.

When can I open my crate?

After the crate sale has completed and all crates have been minted and sent, we will announce a crate opening date. Keep an eye on our Twitter for updates on crate minting and opening dates.

If I get some of the rare chance NFT items, how will I redeem them?

Land NFTs will be redeemable after the land sale is complete.
Gen 1 Chumbi NFTs will be redeemable after the Gen 1 sale is complete.
Merch Coupons will be redeemable when our online store launches.
Seed Chumbi NFTs will be redeemable after the crate opening.

What happens if the crates don’t sell out?

In the event that the crates do not sell out, a community poll will be held to decide what should be done with the remaining crates.

Will this be a limited offer?

Yes, the crates will only be available for purchase by stakers for 4 days, 14th April 9:00pm GMT+10 to 18th April 9:00pm GMT+10.

How many items can I get in a crate?

You have a chance of getting up to 5 items in total. If you are lucky, you could open a crate that contains the guaranteed item + the 4 chance items.

What is the maximum number of crates a single wallet can buy?

There is no limit, you are welcome to purchase as many crates as you like.

What is the Lantern of Revealing NFT?

The lantern NFT is guaranteed to be in each NFT crate. This item will allow players to access dark, locked areas of Chumbi Valley. The NFT will be minted into the Chumbi Valley Founders Collection.

Will the lantern be an exclusive NFT with a max supply of 3,000?

Yes, only up to 3,000 of this type of lantern will be minted. In the event that the crates do not sell out, it is possible that the community will vote to burn the unsold crates and this would mean that the lantern NFT would have less than 3,000 total supply.

What is the Land Plot NFT?

If your crate contains a Land Plot NFT, you will be able redeem a highly sought after land plot in the upcoming Chumbi Village. The land plot will be free and you will not need to participate in whitelist or the land sale, the land plot will be of common tier.

What percentage of the total supply of land is allocated for this sale?

Total Land supply has not been finalised, we predict the 500 land plots in the NFT crates to be approximately 0.5% — 1% of the total supply.

Will this crate sale be FCFS (First Come First Serve)?

Yes.

What is the merch coupon used for?

The merch coupon will allow you to redeem a free Chumbi Valley T-shirt when our online store launches.
