Stellar Wallet for Chynge Bounty Hunters
Note: This Guide Has Been Updated To Reflect The Renaming Of The Chynge Token.
Dear Chynge Community,
At Chynge, we value our community and want to thank all our early supporters. Building and fostering a community of thought-leaders and believers is our priority.
Before joining the Chynge Bounty program, you must have an active Stellar-compliant wallet. If you do not, don’t worry, here are some steps to attain one:
Creating an Account On Your Own
A Stellar-compliant wallet is a wallet that can support XLM (the native asset of the Stellar network) and other Stellar-compliant alt tokens. Stellar suggests any of these wallets:
However, today we will walk through StellarTerm — an open source code and never stores or sends your secret key anywhere.
- In StellarTerm, click ‘New Account’ in the top menu.
i) Accept the Terms of Use
ii) Then ‘Generate keypair’ where you will be shown a Public Key and a Secret Key.
NOTE: Please store this safely as the Secret Key is the password to your account. If lost, there is no way to recover it. Thus, we recommend printing the keypair on a piece of paper and storing it in a safe place. This way, no hackers can steal your keypair and money!
2. Copy your Secret Key and Log into your Wallet
Since this is your first time viewing your wallet, you will notice that your wallet is empty.

In order to activate your wallet, you will need to fund it with at least 5 Lumens (XLM). You can do this by buying the Lumens on an exchange and sending it to your StellarTerm wallet (which we’ll share more in the next section). Once you have funded your wallet, you will need to enable a trustline to accept our CLPX (previously known as XCLP) tokens.
3. Buy Stellar Lumens (XLM)
To get XLM, you will need either BTC or ETH to trade for XLM. You can buy BTC or ETH on almost any crypto exchange, Coinbase, Gdax, and CEX.io just to name a few. Then, go onto any exchange that trades XLM — examples include Binance, Kraken, and Bittrex.
Be sure to transfer your XLM to your StellarTerm wallet after you have traded!
3. Add a Trustline to Receive CLPX
Before your account can receive an asset (token), it must explicitly tell the network that it wants to accept the asset by adding a trustline. Ensure that your account is activated first before attempting to create a trustline.
To create a trustline between your Stellar-compliant wallet and Chynge (as you will see in the image below), you will have to use your secret key to log into StellarTerm. Once you have logged into StellarTerm, click on the ‘Accept Assets’ option in your account. You will arrive at this page where it will show the assets you accept. It will also show you a list of assets you can accept and a field where you can accept assets via anchor domain. Here, you can find our CLPX tokens to enable a trustline.
If you used an alternative Stellar-compliant wallet such as Papaya or LOBSTR, do follow the same steps as mentioned above.
NOTE: We recently renamed our token from XCLP to CLPX. For those who have already created a trustline to XCLP, that trust line will no longer be valid. You will need to create a new trustline with CLPX.
Under ‘Accept Asset via Anchor Domain’, enter ‘chynge.net’.
Accept CLPX after searching it in the ‘Anchor Domain’
After establishing the Trustline, CLPX should be shown under ‘Assets you Accept’
And that’s it! You’ve successfully added a trustline to your Stellar-compliant wallet.
Note:
The Chynge logo and name are not specified in the above screenshots from StellarTerm. They will only be verified after our Chynge tokens have been listed in the Stellar Decentralized Exchange (SDX) which will be after our ICO. Below, you will see our verified CLPX tokens from stellarport.io.
Happy Bounty Hunting!
