Cindy Imperato at the American Red Cross

Cindy Imperato currently serves as Board Chair of the Broward County Chapter of the American Red Cross. She is also board member of the American Red Cross Broward County Chapter where she has served the community for the past eleven years.

In addition, Cindy Imperato is on the Advisory Board of Broward County Crime Commission, Women in Distress and the PACE school for Girls. She’s the former President of the St. Thomas More Society of Broward County and serves on their Board of Directors.



Cindy Imperato Law Career

Cindy Imperato is a former Tallahassee Police Officer who served on the Multi-Agency Gang Task Force of Palm Beach, Broward and Dade Counties.

As part of her extensive career in law enforcement and law, Cindy Imperato has also served as a Senior Assistant Statewide Prosecutor, an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University Law School, where she taught Criminal Pre-Trial Practice, and a Criminal Justice Instructor at Tallahassee Community College. She has lectured nationally on diverse topics including white-collar fraud, street gangs, organized crime, and ethical behavior. She has also authored a book on the topic of Florida street gangs.

Cindy Imperato graduated with a B.S. in psychology and sociology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1979 and earned a M.S. in criminology from Florida State University in 1980. Following that, she earned a J.D. from Florida State University College of Law in 1988.
