The Inherent Problem with Anonymous Apps
David Byttow

In our Startup “SaidHere” which is a highly geo-location focused iOS app venture, we have from the very early stages had deep worries against laying any kind of foundation for mischievous behaviour that is and always remains by all intentions and purposes anonymous.

In Norway, even when the Police are going to schools to warn against bullying and bomb threats and other stupid actions carried out by youngsters on various apps, they mention all the apps by name. Although that may or may not actually lead to new user acqusitions and be counter productive, it goes to show that society is having issues that are hard to deal with in light of these “secret” services that do often have a negative impact on human relations.
